Capitan Energy and Veriforce Mark 7 Years of Safety and Compliance Partnership

Midland, TX – July 16, 2025 – Veriforce, the largest global provider of contractor management and workforce qualification solutions, today announced that Capitan Energy Inc, an oil and gas exploration and services company, marks seven years of successful collaboration, underscoring its commitment to safety, compliance, and contractor excellence.

Since June 2018, Capitan Energy has worked with Veriforce to ensure that its contractors meet rigorous safety and compliance standards. As of 2025, the company has 210 contractors actively connected through Veriforce.

Capitan Energy’s latest performance review showcases the measurable impact of its partnership with Veriforce on the day-to-day safety of workers. Injury rates (Experience Modification Rate (EMR)), which is based on the number and cost of past workplace injuries, are lower than the industry average.

The review also showed that serious incidents on Capitan Energy job sites have dropped dramatically. The Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), which measures how often injuries occur, has fallen by over 93 percent since 2020. This steady improvement shows that the company’s safety efforts are working and that more people are going home safely at the end of each day.

Perhaps most telling is that not a single OSHA safety citation has been recorded among Capitan’s contractors since 2021. That means federal safety inspectors have found no major issues requiring corrective action, a rare and significant achievement in the energy industry.

Behind the scenes, Veriforce processed more than 2,300 insurance verifications in 2024 alone, helping ensure that every contractor is covered before stepping on site, protecting both the workers and the company if something goes wrong.

“Our partnership with Veriforce has played a pivotal role in shaping the strong safety culture we maintain today,” said Mandy White, Compliance Director, Capitan Energy Inc. “These results reflect a shared commitment to protecting people, preserving the environment, and maintaining compliance across our operations.”

“Capitan Energy’s results reflect exactly what’s possible when safety is treated as a core value, not just a requirement,” said Carlos Ramon, President, US & Global at Veriforce. “We’re proud to support their continued efforts to protect lives, build a strong contractor network, and raise the bar for safety and compliance in the energy industry.”

As Capitan Energy looks to the future, it will continue leveraging Veriforce’s industry-leading tools and data insights to uphold the highest standards of contractor performance and safety.
