The Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Course by Veriforce equips participants with the essential knowledge and skills required to implement OSHA-compliant hazardous energy control procedures. This course helps you understand the purpose and function of LOTO and familiarize yourself with various sources of hazardous energy, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic. The course meets the OSHA General Industry training requirements under 29 CFR 1910.147, ensuring compliance with federal safety standards.

Participants will learn about the roles and responsibilities involved in LOTO procedures, as well as the development, maintenance, and inspection of LOTO programs. The course also covers detailed procedures for effectively controlling hazardous energy in different workplace scenarios.

    3.1 Roles and responsibilities of affected, authorized, and support workers.
    3.2 Training requirements for basic awareness, additional needs, and retraining.
  4. LOTO Program Requirements:
    4.1 Establishing, developing, and maintaining a LOTO program.
    4.2 Understanding LOTO program components, inspection, and recordkeeping.
  5. Using a LOTO Procedure:
    5.1 Notification requirements.
    5.2 General LOTO procedures for workers to use.
    5.3 Variations of LOTO procedures for various situations and stand-alone tagouts.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, students receive their Veriforce ID card. This card reflects Veriforce course requirements the student has met. Employers may verify student training on the IDcard or online at veriforce.com/training-lookup.
