Veriforce Offers New Heat Stress Awareness and Prevention Online Training

HOUSTON, TEXAS – June 4, 2013 – Veriforce, a leader in providing regulatory compliance and contractor management solutions for the Oil & Gas Industry, has launched its new Heat Stress Awareness and Prevention Online Training Course.

“Every year, thousands of workers suffer from occupational heat stress or sometimes known as heat exhaustion. There are several levels of heat stress ranging from heat rash to the most severe condition – heat stroke and sometimes death. In most cases these illnesses and deaths can be prevented,” said President of Veriforce, Louie Werderich.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) along with other federal and state agencies have begun a campaign to raise awareness amongst workers in the field about these dangers. Heat stress and fatigue can be controlled through education, training, and engineering and administrative controls. With the summer heat arriving, it is highly recommended that all workers who are exposed attend general awareness training on the dangers of heat stress.

Veriforce’s Heat Stress Awareness and Prevention Course identifies the symptoms of heat stress and teaches employees how to prevent heat-related illnesses before they occur. This course also instructs individuals on how to treat heat-related illnesses when they recognize the symptoms in themselves or others.

“Veriforce’s commitment to providing quality safety training is unparalleled in the industry, going far beyond the standard safety training programs. Developing extensive safety training programs that produce results and contribute to the safety of workers and the environment is a priority at Veriforce,” stated Werderich.
