PEC partners with Columbia Southern Education Group to boost Instructor educational opportunities

Expand your education, earn college credit, and help bring workers home safe.

PEC Certified Instructors serve on the front lines of worker safety.

Before the pipelines are constructed, before the piles are driven, even before workers don safety vests and gloves, Instructors guide their students through all the necessary information that keeps them safe on the job site.

It’s a fact – workers who implement PEC training reduce their Total Recordable Incident Rate by almost 30%, according to an independent study. Without PEC’s network of over 3,000 certified instructors, more workers would be in danger of serious injury.

Ongoing educational opportunities don’t just apply to industry workers, however.  To help further PEC’s mission of bringing workers home safely, we have partnered with Columbia Southern Education Group (CSEG) to offer several outstanding educational benefits to PEC instructors.

This alliance, through CSEG’s partner institutions Columbia Southern University and Waldorf University, bolsters safety and compliance education in an ever-increasing competitive market. Now, PEC Instructors can earn college credits for two Train-the-Trainer courses and further their educational careers.

The Workforce Development Alliance offers PEC safety trainers educational benefits and savings:

10% tuition discount for Columbia Southern University and Waldorf University
Textbooks provided at no cost
Executive alliance scholarships
Transfer credits for two PEC Train-the-Trainer courses: PEC Basic and PEC Core Compliance Train-the-Trainers

We encourage our PEC Instructors to consult their employer’s Human Resource departments for college tuition reimbursement for their PEC Basic and PEC Core Compliance Train-the-Trainer fees, including renewal fees. Now that PEC Basic and PEC Core Compliance Train-the-Trainer courses carry full accredited degree credits at CSEG, these two courses should be considered college credits eligible for reimbursement.

Through PEC and CSEG training, we can ensure Instructors receive valuable educational opportunities.
