Contractors
Obtain and evaluate information regarding the contract employer’s safety performance and programs.
The Veriforce platform allows companies to track standardized contractor requirements, like safety performance indicators and programs, in a centralized location. Contractors are notified of their requirements, and our highly trained verification team reviews the provided information to ensure compliance and flags any areas of risk.
Ensure that each contract worker is trained on the known potential fire, explosion, or toxic release hazards and on the site specific emergency action plan related to the contractor employee’s work and the process.
Use the Veriforce platform to notify contractor employees of the requirements they must complete. Ability to house and assign site-specific online orientations in the Veriforce platform. Individual progress is recorded and stored in Veriforce’s Training Tracker.
Develop and implement safe work practices to control the entrance, presence and exit of contractors and contract workers in covered process areas. Periodically evaluate the performance of contractors in fulfilling their obligations.
Veriforce’s badging system and platform allows employers to review compliance and training statuses of contractors at the gate, and control who is granted access. The employer can engage Veriforce’s contractor auditing teams through our professional services portfolio to conduct periodic audits on contractors to ensure the contractor is fulfilling their obligations.
Maintain a contract worker injury and illness log related to the contractor’s work in process areas.
Veriforce’s platform can collect injury and illness information from contractors to ensure it matches the employer’ OSHA log.
Advise of any unique hazards presented by the contractor employer’s work, or any hazards found throughout the work.
Relevant hazard information can be documented and archived in the Veriforce platform.
Ensure that each contract worker is trained in the work practices as necessary to safely perform his/her job.

The contractor can use Veriforce’s training department to develop and implement training for the employer to include in their safe work practices to provide for the control of hazards during operations such as lockout/ tagout; confined space entry; opening process equipment or piping; and control over entrance into a facility by maintenance, contractor, laboratory, or other support personnel.

The Veriforce team can develop a Contractor Unique Hazards/Hazards Found form in the Veriforce platform to house all notifications from the contractor that would be visible to the hiring contractor.

Major equipment requires periodic documented inspections. They must be trained/tested & follow accepted good engineering practices. Companies must explain WHY inspectors made their decisions.
